FYTB – Broncos vs Patriots Recap

[YouTubeUlar] <— 1076

“In what could have been his last game in the Mile High City Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos toppled Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in a defensive slugfest 20-18.

Tom Brady threw two interceptions on the day to Von Miller and Darian Stewart. The Denver Defense hit Brady all game long, and Terrific Tom only found the end-zone once late in the game to Rob Gronkwoski. Manning threw 2 touchdown passes to Owen Daniels, and for the second game in a row threw zero interceptions.

The Broncos will face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, and will be led by DeMarcus Ware and the Denver D.”

Amanda Capper — on Tim Tebow

Question: Ms Capper whats your take on your star QB Tim Tebow?!

“Amanda Capper Well . . . . long take to short: I’m a bronco fan. All ways. If we’re winning, we’re winning. I believe he’s shown he has the ability to progress which is about as important as it gets in terms of developing the style of collegiate ball he played/plays. He’s got to throw the ball, no doubt about it. Last week, his passing looked the best so far in my opinion and it’ll open up our offense tremendously if he finds more targets than Decker and Thomas. His awareness in the pocket is incredible to watch and his athletic ability is undeniable. I think his will to win is infectious in a way I’ve never seen. I’d like to see what he does for a season or two, hoping Elway takes him under his wing because, honestly, there’d be no better ‘coach/mentor’ from a QB standpoint. I haven’t gone out and purchased a #15 jersey yet but I’m happy to see him in orange and blue. We can easily win out with only one away game in Buffalo……we’ll have to wait and see how the man continues to lead us ♥♥♥”

Floyd Little Hall of Fame Speech

Thank you Floyd Little – for you have inspired me today! If only ESPN would post the amazing video of your live speech so the world can be inspired.

“Because of those that encouraged me in those early years, I am here today. So I want to encourage you, every student, every athlete, every person who will hear my voice, don’t listen to the naysayer. I had plenty of those. Don’t listen to those that will judge you for your rough edges. Don’t focus on your weakness so you won’t become a victim. Find the goodness in you that says, Yes, I can be a good student. Yes, I can be a good son and daughter. Yes, I can be a positive role model. Yes, I can, because the good in you is better than the worst in most. The choice is yours. Be the best that you can be.”

“I truly believe that none of us is anything until the least of us is something. The great writer James Baldwin said, Naked I came into this world and naked I shall leave. We are bound to leave everything we accomplished in this lifetime behind, passing it on. So leave a legacy that you and your family can be proud.”

“I’ve given you the best that I’ve got. And I’m a better person for it. Thank you for being here with me and for me. I thank God for His favor today, and may God bless us all. Thank you so much.”

RIP – Barrel Man

December 24th, 2005 - Barrel Man + Hydle

His name was Tim McKernan. He took a $10 bet from his brother in 1977 that he wouldn’t wear a barrel to Denver Broncos football game. 30 years and 22 different barrels later, Tim finally retired from his superfan role as “The Barrel Man” in 2007.

Friday, at the age of 69, Tim McKernan lost his battle with an inoperable respiratory disease.

Dear barrel man – I salute you.

Tyler’s 8 Day Bender – Day #2

IMG_2058Day number two of the 8 day bender … Tyler finds himself in no other then his hometown of Boulder, CO.

I couldn’t get a hefty response out of him which could be directly related to the outcome of the CU vs CSU football game.

But talking to him briefly on the phone – I can easily tell day 3 is going to hurt.

Good luck sir.
