OK – quick review – Wow.
OK – not so quick review – Another randomly great video from OK Go with very super creative techniques, angles, ideas and messaging.

How do they keep doing it? I’m not a fan of ever becoming a sellout – but given time and specific reasons it does make sense. So even though OK Go has definitely sold out to some very large brands in the past – including State Farm and now Google Chrome and Nintendo 3DS – I’m going to say I’m ok with it if it allows them to continue their creative endeavors and messages of hope. But how about another video for your actual fans and just for the hell of it?

OK Go.

On another note – where is the OK Go Google Chrome “The web is what you make of it” advertisement? [Justin Bieber got one] <— 1,209,010. And so did [Lady Gaga] <— 3,237,345

Who Likes Wood?

Japanese agency Drill Inc. got back to nature in this stunning spot promoting the wood-encased NTT DoCoMo SH-08C phone, set for launch later this year. The agency created a giant wooden xylophone in the middle of the forest. A wooden ball rolls down the instrument to play the keys, each of which make up individual notes of Bach’s Cantata 147, aka “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desire.” According to Drill Inc. creative director Morihiro Harano in the NYTimes, the xylophone was the real deal and no soundtrack was added.

Lets go ahead and start recapping our favorite projects made from wood – or bamboo.

“Monster athlete Parker White made his way to Hokkaido, Japan with Level 1 for two weeks in February to chase pow, pillows, and Japanese schoolgirls. The crew saw as much sun as snow for the duration of the trip, but a few smaller cycles dumped enough snow to make it all worthwhile. Parker gives us the rundown on his first experience in the Land of the Rising Sun, and a look at some of the B-shots and outtakes. Stay tuned for more updates, info, and behind-the-scenes antics from Level 1’s Fall 2011 release, “After Dark.”

TC Bank – Dream Rangers

Genius.
