Ian Ruhter – American Dream

[VimeeeeeeeeO] <— 214,000

The American Dream video is based on the fear of success, this thought is extremely powerful, fear has the ability to cripple us from pursuing our dreams. The moment I embraced my dreams it was as if the universe had drawn people to help us and share their stories. Our goal is to tell the stories of the people who live in America.

“If that one little idea is in your head that’s saying I can’t do it … that’s disability right there.”
– Oscar Ricardo Loreto Jr. – @oskervoid

“It’s just like the old way of doing things … just barter and trade.”

The Golden Power Hour

[YouTubeUlar] <— 303

8 years ago we went on a mission in Golden, Colorado … a mission to accomplish as many activities in 1 hour as we possibly could. Welcome to the Golden Power Hour. This video is unique because you can’t do this anymore … you can’t visit Golden Bowl anymore … you can’t buy Apple computers at the Colorado School of Mines Bookstore anymore and you certainly can’t visit the original Tequila’s anymore :( Hell, you can’t even shoot standard definition 4×3 video anymore and upload it to YouTube in 360p. Fortunately, since 1873 the Coors Brewery Tour has been a staple in the ever changing Golden community and they still offer you free 3 samples of Cold Coors Banquets every day. Cheers, Happy Holidays, Let’s grab a beer!

Blacker than Black Magic

This post is a straight reminder of when these cleaning solution selling pieces of awesomeness showed up on my front doorstep back in 2008.
Video 1 (carpet stain)
Video 2 (grill cleaning)

I’m going to be quick like nestle.
They get whiter than my elbows without lotion.
Stevie Wonder says seeing is believing.
I got a disease called enthusiasm.
I’m gonna cut to the mustard.
Wax on wax off like Mr. Miyagi.
That’s why we can’t sell it to criminals.
My mom says if it’s darker than me, and doesn’t pay the bills… it shouldn’t be there right.
You know what HBO means? Help a Brother Out.
Look – you just go back and forth like an argument.
Now I’m not Jesus, but look how I split that like Moses did the Red Sea.
Paint me green, call me a pickle.
That one bottle last longer than my last relationship.
You all got water right? High five, you qualify to use it.
Now this is my last demo, and I’m outta your hair quicker than shampoo.
Would you throw it out, shout it out, get OJ to stab it out, get Mike Tyson to bit it out, Kobe Bryant to…
It was a multiple choice funny joke.
You know you can’t put bleach on colors right.
This is safe on colors, that’s why we can’t sell it to Sammy Sosa.
This right here takes out ink, blood, coffee stains, grass stains, kool-aid, lipstick, gum.
What’s the hardest thing to clean?
Would it be carpet, tile, bbq grill, shower doors, that oil and rust in the driveway that’s blacker than my mother but not as beautiful?
Can I put this on YouTube? Yes ma’am.
What are you selling? Personality. But this sells itself though.
This is called Advantage the Wonder Cleaner.
Best thing since cake and ice cream.
Now unlike madonna, it’s never been touched.
I’m pretty sure windex and bleach never knocked on your door.

More Snow Less Hate

Colorado is experiencing some insanely long summers around here … it’s time to express how we feel. More Snow, Less Hate. Props to these Steamboat standouts for finally expressing their concerns of grabbing that snow by the balls.

Happy 15 Years iPod

Hey Apple – Happy 15 years of MP3 Portable Music Player Awesomeness. Thanks for our 6.5oz – 5 GB – 1,000 song MP3 player that had the first original 20 minute skip protection with a Firewire chargeable battery that provided 10 continuous hours of music playback in an ultra-portable device that ultimately changed the world! I think we can all safely say the last 15 years was better then the 15 years that proceeded it … all due to the ability of rocking out to our own music anywhere we could possibly dream, on our iPods!

I remember my first iPod party … it took 2.5 days to continuously and randomly play all 1,035 songs on my iPod. Ironically, the final song played happened to be “Closing Time” by Semisonic. 2.5 years later Apple partnered with HP + Compaq to to introduce the first and only iPod licensed product called the “Apple iPod by HP”. What a bullshit move really, for Apple fanatics … but in reality it was genius. HP’s tagline at the time was “Invent” which was laughable, but in 2004 HP shipped over 30 million computers, which all had iTunes compounded with the iTunes Music Store as the default music player. The rest of the story … is just history.

9/11 Amanda Capper National Anthem

[YouTubeUlar] <— 464

4am 9/11 Remembrance Media … Remember that time we Capper’d Salt Lake City on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11. Wow – I watched this on repeat for an hour tonight thinking about awesome things we have done with the power of friendship. When good people and friends come together, we can accomplish some pretty amazing and emotional things. Brian Gold Show Goldrich, thanks for having the power of microphones and believing in a random idea to do something good like this for the pure awesomeness of our country. The fact we were able to quiet down Festival Village at the Dew Tour (one of the noisiest environments of all time) to pull this stunt off without anyone knowing … equals pure “I Love America” kind of joy. Capper Capper Fish, I think the Denver Broncos are going to need some love this year. Hmmmm, would you change anything if you were in front of 75,000 of our orange and blue fans?

High Fives to High Fives Foundation

High Fives Foundation Blackbox Case

Making Awesomeness for the 2nd Annual High Fives Foundation Colorado Golf Tournament

Blackbox Case lasered up some awesomeness for the High Fives Foundation 2nd Annual Colorado Golf Tournament this past week! Pictured above is a 15″ Natural Bamboo Wood Case for and Apple MacBook Pro Retina, a 13″ Carbonized Apple MacBook Pro Retina Case in the middle, and a 12″ Natty MacBook Bamboo Blackbox Case on the bottom. As a team, we shot 20 under par at the super elevated Copper Creek Golf Course and only finished in 4th place overall … which didn’t result in any awards coming our way, but that doesn’t matter because it was all for a good cause and technically we made all the awards!

Blackbox Case is looking forward to releasing a High Fives Foundation + Blackbox Case partnership in the very near future, so you can get your own hands on a High Fives branded Blackbox Case while supporting such an amazing cause! If you take a minute or 10 to watch and learn about the awesome work Roy Tuscany and High Fives does with mountain sports inspired athletes, you will completely understand why we love their mission so much.

Just watch High Fives’ newly released video and go full screen on this masterpiece:

Get Your Rubik’s Cube On

Get on the Rubik’s Cube movement … it’s slowly happening again thanks to some new magic shows and Americas Got Talent, Steven Brundage.

This kid Collin Burns is the real deal, and really freak’n fast. Obviously he is the current world record holder. On the magic side of things though, follow this story.

Damn – Waco isn’t so WACO Anymore – BSR Cable Park

[YouTubeUlar] <— 131,651

Wow, what can I say. Last time I was in WACO, Texas – ummmm, isn’t that enough? Let’s just say none of this awesome BSR Cable Park shit existed. We had a hard time finding a bar open after 9pm and that’s no joke.

For $20 you can buy an all day pass to flip your meat on the Royal Flush water slide in front of other meat.  Bring your own booze, or don’t – seems like they just don’t care.  Which is what makes the BSR Cable Park in Waco, Texas awesome.

Apparently they were voted #1 wake park in 2013.  I can see why.  Here is some more info for you to chalk up.

Coleman Sweeney is a Genius Asshole

[YouTubeUlar] <— 791,573

Genius.

Are you a donor? Think about it.

“A year and a half in the making, the two-minute video – filmed by California-based production studio Furlined and featuring Thomas Jane, of the HBO series “Hung,” music written by Coldplay and a voiceover by actor Will Arnett – was posted on YouTube on Thursday with the goal of creating buzz and ultimately going viral, said David Fleming, CEO of Donate Life America.”

Having a Beer with Dad

I had a nice trip down memory lane last night looking at some old Dew Tour media from 2007. Following the kickoff June Baltimore stop of the then “AST Dew Tour” I ended up traveling around the country for nearly three weeks, which made me miss Fathers Day. Upon my return, I took my good ol’ father Les Hydle out to dinner and his first ever Barmen. I think he liked it … especially the amazing head.

Haha – miss ya pops.

US Open – Tour Links Style

[YouTubeUlar] <— 16,401

We’ve installed a bad ass putting green with Tour Links UltraBase before systems … but the themed creativity behind this activation in New York for Fox Sports’ coverage of the 116th U.S. Open is pretty awesome. Cheers @katienolan for giving it your rough “fast and hard” best.
