This is Country Music

We had an amazing time at the Brad Paisley concert in Denver last night. I don’t know what this country music thing is all about, but after meeting Brad and getting the opportunity to see such a “large performance” show like this with such good company — my cowboy hat continues to come out.

As my country inspiration from Montana – Jesse Alberi states via the Facebook…

“Just keep wearin the hat and boots and the country will find you. I Just watched on youtube what you saw live last night… jealous bro.”

It was an incredibly entertaining show with Scotty McCreery, The Band Perry and even Tim Tebow. Watch this as the Band Perry drops for the most epic Tebowing of all time while Brad Paisley and Tebow sang “I’m Still a Guy.” Saying it got loud… is an understatement.

Underworld = 2012 London Olympic Music Directors

“The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today announced that British electronic music pioneers Underworld have been appointed Music Directors for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The appointment completes the team of senior creatives that will lead the direction of the London 2012 Ceremonies.

Underworld duo Rick Smith and Karl Hyde will work alongside Oscar winning British filmmaker and producer Danny Boyle, Artistic Director of the Opening Ceremony and will be responsible for all the music in the three-hour ceremony taking place on 27 July next summer.“

Now I am officially excited to watch the opening ceremonies for the London 2012 summer olympic games.

Amanda Capper – Goodnight Movie

Tonight’s movie is from Utah…

There is a BMX rider named Stephen Murray who had a traumatic injury in a Baltimore 2007 BMX Dirt event. He was throwing a double back on a bicycle and broke his neck. It was my first day announcing for DEW tour as G-Man and this was by far one of the worst accidents I have ever seen. During Stephens rehabilitation at Craig Hospital from a C3 broken neck… he eventually weaned from a ventilator which was amazing – since he could now breathe on his own. But at such a high level quad he is completely confined to a sip and puff wheelchair.

Friends and supporters started a brand “Murray Strong” over the last couple years and from what we heard in Utah… Stephen’s own spirits have been relatively low right now. As you can understand… being confined to a wheelchair can definitely take it’s mental toll on you… which it has on Stephen. When you lose your own zest for life it is time for friends and family to help keep you motivated to live the best life you can. Keep your head up high Stephen – this is a movie from your friends.

OK – quick review – Wow.
OK – not so quick review – Another randomly great video from OK Go with very super creative techniques, angles, ideas and messaging.

How do they keep doing it? I’m not a fan of ever becoming a sellout – but given time and specific reasons it does make sense. So even though OK Go has definitely sold out to some very large brands in the past – including State Farm and now Google Chrome and Nintendo 3DS – I’m going to say I’m ok with it if it allows them to continue their creative endeavors and messages of hope. But how about another video for your actual fans and just for the hell of it?

OK Go.

On another note – where is the OK Go Google Chrome “The web is what you make of it” advertisement? [Justin Bieber got one] <— 1,209,010. And so did [Lady Gaga] <— 3,237,345
